Several months ago my 83 year old Dad suffered a stroke affecting
his right side.
He was disappointed that he wouldn't
be able to attend my son's graduation from Dental School.
They
live in a remote town in Western Kansas, and not only is the flight extremely expensive, but he would be challenged to get
around using his walker.
My son got them an iPad, and I got one as well.
I
then bought a new phone through Sprint, an HTC Evo, and purchased the hot spot plan.
The day of my son's graduation,
I turned on the hot spot on my Evo, connected to my Evo on the iPad, and my parents were able to watch my son's graduation
from the recliner in their home.
As I was pointing the iPad toward my son walking across the stage, I could
see my dad's face on the screen and the emotion on his face was worth every cent we spent on the technology.
